Terms of service

These terms are between [REGISTERED COMPANY NAME] (“we”, “us”) and the business that signs up to use Ringback (“you”). They do not create any agreement between us and your customers — your relationship with them is yours.

Ringback watches for calls to your number that you do not answer, sends the caller a text with a link to your booking page, takes the booking against the availability you set, and puts the job in your calendar. It sends confirmations and reminders, and can take a deposit.

It does not answer your phone, chase unpaid invoices, or decide which work to take. It is not an answering service and there is no person on the other end of it.

Every recovery message is a reply to a call that person just made to you. That is what makes it a transactional message rather than marketing, and it is the basis on which it is sent.

You agree not to use Ringback to send unsolicited marketing, to text people who have not contacted you, or to import a list of numbers from anywhere else. STOP is honoured automatically and permanently, and we do not provide a way to override it.

Doing any of the above puts our messaging registration at risk as well as yours, so we will suspend an account that does it, without notice if the volume warrants it.

• The accuracy of what you publish — your prices, your availability and what you say you do.
• Doing the work you accept a booking for, and dealing with your own customers.
• Keeping your sign-in details to yourself, and removing people from your team when they leave.
• Having the right to use the phone number you connect.
• Whatever you are obliged to do as the data controller for your customers’ details, as set out in the privacy policy.

Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance. Prices are shown on the pricing page and include VAT where it applies. Changing plan takes effect immediately, and a downgrade applies from the next billing date rather than refunding the current one.

Cancel whenever you like. The service runs to the end of the period you have paid for and is not renewed. We do not refund part-months.

Deposits your customers pay go to your Stripe account, not to us. What you charge, and whether you refund it, is between you and them.

We do not promise the service is never unavailable. It depends on a phone network, a payment provider and a calendar provider, none of which we control, and any of which can fail.

We do not promise every missed call becomes a text, or that any text becomes a booking. Networks drop messages, people ignore them, and some callers were never going to book. Any figure quoted on our website is an estimate with its assumptions shown, not a commitment.

Where we are liable to you, that liability is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the problem. This clause exists to protect us, and it is normal for a service at this price — but nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited.

Export your customers and bookings before you cancel — you can do it from the console at any time. After an account closes we keep the data for 30 days in case it was a mistake, then delete it. Say so and we will delete it sooner.

You can stop at any time from the console. We can end an account with 30 days’ notice, or immediately if it is being used to send unsolicited messages, to break the law, or in a way that threatens the service for everybody else. If we end it for our own convenience rather than for something you did, we refund the unused part.

We will email you at least 30 days before anything material changes. Carrying on using the service after that is acceptance; if you would rather not, cancel and we will refund the unused part.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
